The fundamental problem in Mozambique is the lack of Bible preaching churches among the entire population.
Mozambique is a large country, about twice the size of California with a population of over 30 million. Staggeringly, over 50% of the population is under the age of 18 years old. The country was colonized by Portugal therefore, they have a heavy Catholic influence. In recent years, a large percent of the population have converted to Islam. Not to mention, the large emphasis on animism and ancestral worship. Mozambicans are a very religious people however, they are void of the only thing that will give them true life, Jesus Christ.
We want to do more than just give everyone a chance to hear-we want to put a church within reach of every Mozambican. This is a huge task, not only because of the many languages throughout Mozambique, but also because of the vast land mass.
Our vision is to start churches and train leaders that will be able to effectively reach their own people with the gospel. We firmly believe that if people have a church, they have a chance! Nonetheless, the churches need faithful national pastors to shepherd the flock.

Team Values
Team Mozambique is a group of missionary families that have been called to ministry in Mozambique and stirred to collaborate together for the purpose of establishing indigenous churches in Mozambique for the glory of God. To accomplish these goals we hold to the following Team Values:
Doctrine Matters: We believe that doctrine is vital to the life of any ministry. The Bible is our sole authority in faith and practice.
Multiple Church-Planting Philosophy: We believe that multiple church-planting is a clear biblical model for effective missionary efforts. This is our ministry philosophy and plan in Mozambique.
Autonomy: We believe in the autonomy of each family within the team and their individual ministries. Each family is subject to their sending, local church who also practices autonomy in faith and practice.
Unity: We believe unity within our autonomous ministries is essential to practical execution for the furtherance of the gospel in Mozambique. We strive for unity in practice and expectation from all team members.
Evident Love: We believe that the love of Christ constraineth us in all manners of life and ministry. Each team member should demonstrate love for Christ, for one another, for those we work with, and for all we do in Mozambique.
